A Writer's Prayer

Amen.

What shall I write, my muse?

What kind of ink abuse

shall I unto this paper bleed?

Dare write my fearless need?

What tale shall I expose

in poetry or prose,

scattered verses on a page,

language of my sanity in rage.

Guide my pen with fluid strokes.

Postpone your playful pranks and jokes.

Grant me an experienced hand

to tailor thoughts at your command.

SO well written! I like how your words provoke such imagery...makes me imagine a writer sitting, staring at a blank page with a pen in one hand and a handful of hair in the other....full of frustration and feeling, trying to pull out all the emotion inside and transfer it on paper.
