Our LoveA Poem by BlueThey said we'd soon be over; our boat's not made to last. The envious tides of stormy seas shall make us things of past. Others said we're pieces of the fate's amusing game, where no one wins, both earn a scar and learn to live with shame.
My parents said we undergo a normal teenage phase, when hormones reach their highest peak and knock wits our of place. The good priests said desires of flesh are not worthy of trust. And they command the faithful ones to please abstain from lust.
Their words of caution bring me fear, though spoken by the wise. And I'm even more troubled now: Is what we have all lies? 'Cause we are young and we don't know what true love really is. But I don't want to grow up yet and miss a folly's bliss. © 2014 BlueReviews
