Oh, woman!

Oh, woman!

A Poem by Blue
"

to all women concerned

"

Glorious descendant of Eve.
Creature shaped after Adam.

Blessed with beauty.
Blessed with heart.

What insult!
What woe to self you inflict!

Degrading.
Detestable.
Inhuman.

Sacred flesh
you now cheaply expose,

feasted upon
by eyes void of chastity.

Unlawful acts
you shamelessly conduct

to satiate
carnal pleasures

to gain
fleeting approval of men.

Take caution.
Gain wisdom.

Redeem your honor!

I can't thank you enough for all your kind reviews, Cycy.
Well done; there should be a male version of this poem chastising men for treating women like this. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. Self-control is something unheard of anymore, and we wonder why there are so many crimes against women, diseases and sexual perversions.

I know that's real Arzel...I agree but you know there are so many who would argue that this is an old fashioned view of how women should carry themselves. Unfortunately, those who feel that way don't know it but usually have a poor self image. I think you can be sexy, fun and vibrant without putting all of your assets on display. Less is always more. Fantabulous writing.

A woman should be filled with respect both for herself and also others, but the world today, women degrade themselves and show their bodies as they choose to. How sad that is, I hope that kind of a woman is reading this poem right now and let her take caution and gain wisdom. Well done Arze.
