Oh, woman!

Oh, woman!

A Poem by Blue
"

to all women concerned

"

Glorious descendant of Eve.
Creature shaped after Adam.

Blessed with beauty.
Blessed with heart.

What insult!
What woe to self you inflict!

Degrading.
Detestable.
Inhuman.

Sacred flesh
you now cheaply expose,

feasted upon
by eyes void of chastity.

Unlawful acts
you shamelessly conduct

to satiate
carnal pleasures

to gain
fleeting approval of men.

Take caution.
Gain wisdom.

Redeem your honor!

So many women do sell themselves short. The other side of that coin is that in such difficult economic times many believe that their sexuality is the only currency that they carry. It's all really quite sad. Of course it does take two to tango.

I agree. Thank you, Leslie!
I liked those lines...
Its true that people carve for carnal pleasures but i think love isnt a carnal pleasure.
Beauty should not be exposed..but the inner beauty cannot be exposed. And true wisdom comes when we can see the inner beauty of other human!!
Good work as usual!!!

I agree. Men and women should have honor and treat each other respectfully. Sex is not everything in a relationship but it is the overall way of cherishing and treating each other even in the small things. Holding hands, a walk on the beach, a nice dinner together, short travels, movies and so forth...Enjoying the moments with each other to me is more powerful and lasting...A wonderful write...:)........
