A Chapter by Blue
"

The truth behind...

"
Okay
(Song)

I'm not gonna tell you I'm losing my head.
Not  gonna tell you I wish I were dead.
I'm not gonna lay my defenses down
and tell the world I'm breaking.

I'm not gonna sit down just to cry.
Not gonna answer your question why.
I'm not gonna turn my laughter off
and this sweet smile I'm faking.

'Cause I am okay...
Yes, I am okay...
But

Just who am I kidding?
Deep down I'm almost dying
from all the lies and the lullabies.
No.
I'm not okay and
just who am I fooling?
Just me
'Cause no one's hearing
the screams within and the pain I'm in.
No.
I've never been okay.
Oh, oh.
Never been okay.

I'm not gonna let my parents down.
Not gonna change a smile for a frown
I'm not gonna act insane and
confess that nothing's well.

I'm not gonna show my naked face.
Not gonna tell you how's me in this place.
I'm not gonna ask for any help and
be rescued from this hell.

'Cause I am okay...
That's what I always say...
But

Just who am I kidding?
Deep down I'm almost dying
from all the lies and the lullabies.
No.
I'm not okay and
just who am I fooling?
Just me
'Cause no one's hearing
the screams within and the pain I'm in.
No.
I've never been okay.

Somebody, hear my plea!
Get this off of me.
And tell me this is gonna end.
(end, end)
Why can't you read my mind
and leave judgment behind?
Don't be a stranger, be my friend.
(I need a friend.)

But

Just who am I kidding?
Nobody's even listening
to this song and the truths along.
That's not okay.
And just who am I fooling?
Nobody's even caring
to see through my eyes
and past the lies...

Thank you, Chris.
Very hard to write good music. You did. I like the flow of thoughts in the poem and the reason for the poem. I like the logic of the poem. You are right. Life is our to live and repair. Thank you for the excellent poetry.

Thank you, Chaze.
This is wonderful Sennah. I wish I could hear the melody, but I seemed to sing it all the way through reading

Thank you, Jack.
A very nice song, full of urgency, desperation and even some pseudo-pride. Very nicely done, I could almost imagine the music behind it.

Really Nice lines)) These will fit better in a melody and a beat)) If these lines are heard instead of reading it'll be more effective) I could imagine) :)
