A Love LetterA Poem by Amy VaughnA Love Letter I am talking to my friend,
and she says I am in love. And it makes my chest
expand in happiness, to know that the beauty,
that ball of smiles that grows in my chest every
time I see you, will be experienced in another
that I love, in another person who that
deserves the type of happiness and joy that I receive each and every day of being with you. I realize that being with
you can be a hard thing, with us fighting like cats
and dogs ripping at each other’s skin, though our
whirlwinds of emotions usually break and end with
a gorgeous reunion " (Like those days curling up
in white blankets as the gold Sun shines through the
room, and every ray that Hits you shows your
immaculate beauty makes Each and every fight worth
it if I get just One more morning with you) " And just so you know, I dreamt of this love since
I was a little girl, Of my wedding day with the
sparkly gown, My father walking me down
the isle towards A dark figure in a suit before
me. I dreamt of sunny Sunday
mornings, Of coffee runs together, of
cooking dinner with the Beatles (but now I
daydream of soft Spanish songs) singing
softly in the background and hearing the
pitter patter of feet, squeals of
laughter and little voices Screaming “Daddy!” But I never could truly
picture a face, The face that would be
standing next To me for the rest of my
life. I could never picture who it was Until I met you. © 2011 Amy VaughnAuthor's Note
