miss me

miss me

A Poem by Amy Vaughn

i don’t want to wake up.

i am squirming beneath

the white sheets as they grip

my legs like ropes, trying

to tie me down and bury me.

i feel that familiar tightening

of my stomach, the panic bubbling

up to my throat.

he is back, my little demon,

someone i thought i had said

goodbye to months ago.

he is fierce, fitter, with a

smile on his face, better than

before " though better is not

the right word " the way you

see an ex months later and you

wish they looked like crap

but really they’ve done

beautifully

without you

and would love to

rub it in your face.

i cringe, and back away,

but he tilts his head

and gleams brightly.

pauses, before saying,

“Did you miss me?”

wah. my dark poems are back. I don't really know what to make of this one, I wrote it on my blackberry when I had a surge of "feeling" I guess you can say. Make of it what you will!

the irony of this. I can only smile as I feel it too. I know for me, if i don't write it i lose it.
As our feelings go, this to shall pass.
I like the way this poem transends to the end, the finally.
cool

I love that dark poem ... we all have those rights . we will always have those fears to keep walking with us , we need to accept them

If I met this egoist in my dreams, I would surely want to wake up! Powerful, and wonderfully written!

i like it....deep in feeling, not all good ones. the poem shows misplaced strength and a want for more than a pretty face for a relationship. i lied, i love this.
