stumble

stumble

A Poem by auds

infatuation with fumes
pouring from elysium.
an angsty aesthete

greedy for the picturesque.
how foolish i am
to feed on the solitude.

nemesis of affinity
for the finale, easier to elude.
corroded metal bars

roar on wounds.
they strike me numb,
absolute.

get drunk;
the sour blood awaits.
devour what remains.

then take a tumble downtown
and show that i lost.
blink,

and faint.
