you

you

A Poem by auds
"

this is quite personal bc it describes my experience being too emotionally attached to someone

"

one word from you hushes the melancholic melody

echoing in slowed reverb upon my aura.

whether it be a short exclamation of hate or spite,

i soar on from the dejected grand gestures.

one smile from you earns a raspberry-tinted quirk

from the lips i consider etched in a pout.

the dulling curtains bloom flamboyantly

as if it never gathered dust upon its pleats.

one glance at you dilutes the blurs of mania

that torment what i perceive as idyllic romanticism.

intertwined figures waltzing amidst terror and grunge

flashes ever so slightly with a lingering grain of absence.

but what wakens and peels me off layer by layer

is the presence of another looming mass

encroaching upon your dainty sanctuary

that used to hold my blinded bliss.
