Naive Sleep

Naive Sleep

A Poem by Aekmy

I watch the slow rise and fall of her chest. Life resides in her lungs and peace camps within her visage. Innocence pours like a perfume from her glowing body and I find myself caught in a stare. Wonder is resting beneath her eye lids. Like an ocean, they weep at sorrow, and smile at joy. Beneath the oceans are treasures. Brightly colored memories swim around waiting to be awoken. With every treasure, there is a burden, but those you cannot see at the moment. If she wept, storms would ensue. Her pain I hope she wouldn’t ignore, but remove.

There is beauty is uniqueness. Embrace the strange or perish in the ordinary.
