Heartbeat

Heartbeat

A Poem by Aekmy

The feelings I have for you confuse my brain and shake up the way my world turns, but it’s possible for many names to get inside of my heart. I won’t deny a soul yearning for a little love. You are the cherry on an already perfect sundae; a little something more. I could wrap my arms around your frail shoulders and hold your head in my palm so that the beat of my chest is like a song for your ears. I am the breeze on a sunny day and you are the rocking chair in the wind. I’ll stick around as long as you need me and even when you want me gone. I am the ears on your walls, the diary of your heart. If the decade leaves us yet again, I’ll let you know my heart glows for you like copper tin.

There is beauty is uniqueness. Embrace the strange or perish in the ordinary.
