Compensating

Compensating

A Poem by Aekmy

I leave my name on my lips
just to remember that kiss
you gave me. Like a list,
we check off the thing we've missed
and finally, once we're finished,
we lay together, breathe in bliss,
the pure breath and mist
of a thousand stars raining down on us.

Eager, but unnoticeable, there's a twist
in your touch. A small unjust
uncertainty in your eyes, a twitch.
I erase your fears with my easing kiss.
Let my emotions surf over your body, in
your mind and give me something quick.
I'm desperate for your touch. Push my thin skin
against yours. Pull my heart out so we'll be in unison.

There is beauty is uniqueness. Embrace the strange or perish in the ordinary.
