Cut Me Open; I'm Already DeadA Poem by AekmyLove isn't innocent. Perfection isn't perfect. People change. Your honesty and my stubbornness have killed us both. Suck up, say you're sorry, kiss over the phone. It's the same story, we're just never done. Happiness is harder to come by today than it was years ago. We look at our elders, think it's easy, and break a bone. Trying so hard to make things right, we cry. Our emotions show, we curse. Say you're sorry. You never meant that. Take it back. My heart is breaking. Murder me with your words. Throw something back at me. I'll catch it and throw it right at your face. Two can play this game. He loves me. He loves me not. He loves me. He loves me not. He loves me. My heart wants to believe every word, to give into your plea, but my brain is being rational. Love isn't real. We're living in a world of false emotions and a higher power. My perspective is skewed. Kill me now. I feel like popping open a vein. Don't tell a single soul.
