Ocean and Desert

Ocean and Desert

A Poem by Aekmy

Your breath reminds me of a warm, sunny day spent at the beach. I'm the shore and you're the ocean. Your affection washes on me, takes something away and gives a little back each time. Heat radiates from the sun -your warm eyes-. They praise me, address me, and adore me with every glance. The sand under my feet soothes my worries, rubs them away. Without my oceans, I'd be nothing but a desert.

As the sand, I will house all of your treasures. Your fingers will tug at my edges as you try to push them out, show me off to the world. Brightly colored memories and desires rest in my grasp. Currents cannot sway me, for I am bound to you.

Your smell is so comforting. I want to wrap myself in your heart, and never leave. I'll tug at your heart strings, make you see the unseen. I'll make you look through my eyes. Through the deserts, you will see a strongly wanted ocean just waiting to be taken.

There is beauty is uniqueness. Embrace the strange or perish in the ordinary.
