Foolish GirlsA Poem by AekmyThunderstorms are equivalent to the exiled teenager. It’s dangerous, wrong, and beautiful. Everyone either hates it or wants to become it. People crave the power, the noise; the leverage fear has over all of us. Kids long to be in control, the control they don’t already have, the control they think they have, the control they will never have if they continue to think this way. Control and power are so useless. If no one BELIEVES in your cause, they’d be stupid to follow you. Unfortunately, this happens every day. Poor, unfortunate souls give their bodies away to lost causes. That boy you’re obsessed with in your fifth period isn’t worth it. His nice body and good looks, the charm (you can’t forget the charm); none of it is worth your heart. He’ll dump you once summer comes around. He’s looking for something you can’t give him: a mother’s love, because his mother left him, abandoned the whole family. Don’t waste your childish love on his heart. © 2010 Aekmy |
