ConfusionA Chapter by Aekmy
“No s**t, Sherlock,” I retorted. “I’m just lettin you know, man.” Chase threw his hands up and leaned back. “Nothing will happen between them.” I said, looking at Blake and that Jacob boy. Minutes after I turned around, Blake’s cold hands were covering my eyes. “Guess who.” She giggled. “Beautiful, come ‘ere.” I pulled her around to sit in my lap. If that boy was looking over here, he would see who she belonged to. I rested my palms on her thighs as she ate the other half of my pizza. Chase was grinning on the other side of the table. “I’ll talk to you later, man.” He slapped my back as he walked off. “Why do all of your guy friends leave when I’m around?” She sounded slightly hurt. “It’s because their girl friends don’t match up to mine.” I winked and trailed kisses up her bare arm. “Stop it, stop it.” She giggled and squirmed, but I held her in her place. “I love it when you wear these tank tops.” “So do I! It’s got the cutest little smiley on it.” Blake smiled as bright as the sun. The bell rang for fifth period. I grabbed our tray and her right hand. She skipped along with me, smiling so bright. I wondered why she was so happy all of a sudden. As we were walking down the hallway, I stopped. “What is it, babe?” Her eye brows furrowed and she held both of my hands. “That guy.” I admitted defeat and broke down. “It looks like you like him more than you like me. I mean, what’s up with this? He comes back and you’re all over him..” “Hush, hush, hush.” She placed her finger to my lips. “I don’t like him. I love you. It’s been a whole year since we talked and I was wondering how he was. He’s got a girl who loves him and they’ve been together since we broke up.” I watched her eyes lose their sparkle. “What did he mean to you?” I asked. “The world. We only dated for a short while, but my feelings for him were indescribable.” She grabbed my hands tighter. “I mean more to you, right?” Her eyes lit up once again, but this time with surprise. “Of course!” She hit my chest. “How could you even think that? What would possess you to conjure up such an idea? That’s preposterous, stupid, unimaginable "“ I kissed her long and hard. She melted into my arms. “I understand.” I laughed at her expression, rubbing her arms. She left me standing there, starstruck, with a smile on her face. © 2010 AekmyAuthor's Note
