Losing It

Losing It

A Poem by Aekmy

I can’t breathe and no one is here to help me.

You’re miles away and can’t hear me scream your name.

If you’re thinking of me, you’ll see the stars gleam.

I miss your eyes; they counteract my demise.

I’m going under again for the second time this week.

This can’t be normal. If only I had a portal

Out of here and into your arms, life would be without harm.

Hold me close and never let go.

I’ll dream you right out of there. We’ll run away together.

My skin is hot like something is trapped inside and is trying to get out. My clothes don’t feel right. Even the sun is too bright. I can’t breathe. My lungs don’t seem to be working. Could this be the end of everything? I want you here right now to hold close. Fix my broken heart.

Life is suffocating me.

I want to run away.

There is beauty is uniqueness. Embrace the strange or perish in the ordinary.
