A Poem by Aekmy

I just can't get him out of my mind.
He drives me completley crazy
with long nights and appealing phrases.
He's got the voice of a mocking bird.

There are so many obstacles in my way
They're keeping me from what I want.
I'll pack my stuff and be on my way
Just let me go with one last taunt.

Kiss me like you mean it and
Walk away like you want to
don't make this any harder
Give me a sweet goodbye

I've got my finger on play, but I want to rewind.
Sometimes my memory is a little hazy
about conversations that sound like mazes
and words I've done heard

It's a darn shame she's still here
will she ever leave?
Though she should be here.
I guess I should leave...

Sweet talk me like the first time and
kiss me like you mean it.
All night you'll think and ponder
of how you walked away from this.

Give me a sweet good-bye
and look at me with those eyes
tell me you love me
I want to hear your lies
in that sweet good-bye.

This is such a sweet little poem to someone you care about. It's personal undertones are easily related to other people in the same situation as yours. The memories and emotional connections in it are very evident. You can tell this was written from the heart. Excellent write! :)
