All I want

All I want

A Poem by Aekmy

We were doing fine
Until you needed more time
Now my world is crumbling down
and all I can see is the ground.

We would've had so much
I need you like a crutch.
Every song, happy or sad, reminds me
of what we never had.

Oooh can't you see we're meant to be?
I've never had anyone like you.
Tell me, baby, I'm desperate
What do I have to do
to be back in your arms?

Your touch, your scent still haven't let my head
But I'd rather they not leave
and if they did I would cry myself to sleep
every night wondering why me?

Why couldn't you see we were meant to be?
I want someone like you
Call me baby, I need your voice.
What do I have to do
to be back in your arms?

Every look, word, touch was a lie
in disguise of your affection.
Leave me on the floor
This way my tears won't fall as far.

You'll never see we were made to be
I need you, and only you.
Your voice, touch, love
All I want is to be back in your arms.

"Leave me on the floor

My favorite lines. This piece is wonderful! Heartbreaking and very emotional. The flow of it is a little shaky, but that's just one person's opinion. I love the story behind this, the desperation that moves it along. Great work!
