Alter-Ego

Alter-Ego

A Poem by Aekmy

I’ve seen your type before, babe.

Skinny jeans and v-neck tees; you can’t fool me.

What’re you playing at anyway?

I’m the game and you’re the player.

Whatever happened to ladies first?

Oh, I see. You’ve taken the saying in reverse.

Well your smart mouth won’t get you anywhere.

My opaque eyes can see straight through you.

Oh, don’t make me cry. We’ve been through this before.

You seem so sweet, but underneath you’re just another boy who

Wants to play with me like a toy.

We’ll I’m not a puzzle for you to fix.

(I won’t be apart of your little click.)

I’ll be broken forever.

Do you understand?

There is beauty is uniqueness. Embrace the strange or perish in the ordinary.
