Chapter Twenty-One

Chapter Twenty-One

A Chapter by Aekmy

After dinner I realized Ava was a fantastic cook.

“My mother would absolutely love you.” We were both set on the couch with the TV on though we weren’t watching it, and I was playing with her fingers.

“And why is that?”

“Well, you can cook some amazing food, kid, and you’re a pretty wonderful person.” We smiled in each others eyes.

“I’m sorry about my little melt down in the store. I didn’t realize what I smelled.”

“That’s alright, so now are you full?”

“Yeah. I feel really different. It could be good, could be bad.” She shrugged her shoulders and I yawned.

“Oh wow.” She glanced at the clock, half curly hair bouncing. “It’s eleven, c’mon time for bed big kid.” We both got up and ventured to her bedroom, smiling.

“So if you don’t sleep how am I supposed to sleep?”

“Like a human, ya know all the snoring and junk.”

“I so do not snore.”

“We’ll see. Now try to get some sleep. Tomorrow I wanna go see the guys and you,” she poked my chest. “Will need some sleep. I’m sure they’ve all been very worried…about us both.”

“Since when did you get so responsible?” I joked.

She sighed loudly, ruffling the sheets as she tried to get comfy, “just go to bed!” we both laughed before silence feel on us. Her steady, fake breathing was the last thing I heard before I fell asleep.

Ava’s P.O.V

Gerard’s breathing evened and I knew he was asleep. Good, I thought. In the kitchen I pondered over whether or not to drain another chicken bag. It was so good. The thought of it made my body tingle, but I decided against it. Gerard would think something was wrong when there really wasn’t because that’s just how I lived. Maybe I should talk to someone. Maybe frank or mikey. I hadn’t talk to them in a long while and surely they were still awake.

“Hello?”

“Ay Frank.” I smiled in the darkness, unconsciously twirling my hair.

“Ava? Wow, you even sound different. How are you?”

“I’m – different, but feeling much better. How are you?” I inquired.

“Um,” he yawned. “A bit tired, but it’s really good to hear from you. How is Gerard?”

“He’s sleeping. Big woos couldn’t even stay up.” I laughed quietly. “nah, he was just tired.” I yawned in an attempt to be human.

“Frank?”

“Yeah.”

“I think you should know something.” I bit my lip.

“What’s wrong? Is Gee sick or something?”

“No, it’s me, but I need to tell you, but I’m afraid… it’s sort of about peter. You remember him don’t you?”

“Well, yeah. The man almost killed my best friend’s girl friend, how could I forget?”

“Could you meet me somewhere? Anywhere, private.”

“You could come over to my hotel room. Oh hey did I tell you that were going to start touring again? It’ll be awesome.”

“Oh no, really? That’s sweet. Um, I’ll be over in a jiffy, but frank, could we keep this to ourselves?”

“Um,” he paused unsurely. “Sure.”

I hung up and started getting ready in more sensible clothes.
