Chapter Ten

A Chapter by Aekmy

 “Ello, love.”

“Ava?” she gasped and screamed, probably jumping around. She hissed quietly at someone on the other line. “Where’ve you been?”

“I took a very long vacation.”

“We’ve needed you so much.”

“Really? Is there any work I could do tomorrow?”

“Well, duh. Come in eight thirty sharp.”

“Yes mam.” We both giggled before saying goodbye and hung up.

Everything seemed almost normal except for Gerard being a few states from me.

We are taking a break from each other. Chill out, Ava. My mind scolded.

“I know, I know.” I moaned. Suddenly my phone vibrated. Without checking the caller ID, I answered.

“Ello.”

“Hey.” A too familiar voice sounded into my ears, but suddenly my nerves felt looser.

“Gerard.” I stated with a long sigh.

“You sound mad.”

“No I sound delicious.”

“That too,” he chuckled and paused. “I miss you.”

“I know.”

“But don’t you miss me?”

“Of course I miss you, Gerard. I love you remember?” I quoted him perfectly, accent and everything.

“That was cool. How’d you do that?”

“I don’t know. It just happens.”

“Where are you?”

Without thinking I answered. “My apartment.” And yawned out of habit to be human.

“Okay, well sounds like you’re tired, so I’ll let you sleep.” He sighed and I laughed.

“Good night, Gee.”

“Sleep tight.” He muttered and the line went dead. Immediately I missed him, I missed the fact that I wouldn’t get to watch him sleep tonight, or wake up to his gorgeous face, but I went to ‘sleep’ anyway.
