Chapter Two

Chapter Two

A Chapter by Aekmy

 Gerard’s P.O.V

Ava turned around and folded her arms like a two year old with a pouty look on her lips and then it faded. Her eyes read blankly. I don’t know what she started thinking about, but it obviously made her sad. We all walked into the elevator and waited. Once the elevator stopped I took her by the waist and pulled her to the side.

“Hey, what’s wrong?” I rubbed the side of her face with my thumb and watched her eyes switch from side to side. She looked uncertain about something.

“I don’t know. Maybe just a little home sick.” She still didn’t meet my eyes when she smiled towards the ground.

“You wanna go home?” I lifted her chin and made her look at me. I’ve never seen her so down.

“No, the guys just got settled.” She weakly pointed in the room and looked around again before breathing in deeply. “I just wanna get in the room.” I followed her gaze to a group of kids behind us, eyes wide, and mouths drooling.

“Just one sec.” I kissed her nose, looked in her eyes thoughtfully, and watched her walk in the door. She swayed slightly into the door frame but steadied herself long enough to make it to the end of the bed. I turned to the young fans and signed a few autographs, smiled in front of a few cameras, before walking back into the room. Ava was sitting on the edge of the bed staring at her feet. The side of her face I could see looked incredibly sad. Everything about her seemed to scream out at me, but I couldn’t wrap my mind around what was wrong. I didn’t know whether to ask her what was wrong or ignore her behaviour, but I was afraid she would think rude of me. I decided to talk to her anyway.

“I don’t like seeing you this way.” When I crouched down on the floor and put my hands lightly on her knees her face didn’t change; it stayed the same, distant and isolated looking.

“Trust me I don’t like feeling this way.” she whispered from her cold, pale lips.

“Maybe you could tell me what is wrong. Maybe I can help.” I expected her to pause after I spoke, but she responded quickly without changing.

“Internal conflicts can’t be solved from the outside; the victim must solve it herself.”  I looked at her absent minded. Since when did she become so — poetic? Finally, she looked up at me; her once blue anime eyes were tinted grey. Her whole face cried out miserable. She sighed and looked at frank, which was laughing and jumping around with mikey.
