Chapter Eighth

Chapter Eighth

A Chapter by Aekmy

A gun loud bang that could be heard through the walls sounded in my ears and I stopped so quickly Gerard bumped into my back. He staggered forward, but was able to steady himself. My eyes were wide with fear; I had a my-heart-just-stopped expression on my face and I couldn’t bring myself to breathe or move a muscle.

“C’mon, Ava.” Gee murmured, gently pushing me forward. I shook my head and crept even quieter and slower down the steps. Every nerve ending in my body was awake.

‘Fourth flight of stairs done now just a measly little door to go through and you’re free.’ I wrapped my fingers around the door knob after looking through the small window; Peter was holding his gun and pointing it at people making them go under desks, but never out the door and then he looked at me. I gasped, frozen with fear, and threw myself left, but knew it was too late.

“You have to leave and go away as far as you can.” I turned to Gerard and took my bags he had and threw them down. He took my small wrists in his large hands; the contact burned, but it was a happy pain.

“What’s he going to do to you?”

“I don’t know, but I’m not worried about me. I’m worried about you. Go Gerard! Go!” I paused and looked around; there was an exit door just behind those stairs. “He’ll kill you, Gerard, he’ll kill you.” I couldn’t go on because the tears started bailing. He pulled me into a hug and kissed my head. I looked up after I dried my tears. “Don’t let him kill you.” I whispered and he stepped back, but still held onto my wrists. We both heard the sound of his footsteps on the other side of the door and stiffened with fright. I looked into his eyes and pleaded. After another agonizingly long thirty seconds Gerard ran off; I didn’t have time to see where because I was facing the door with a metal bar in my hand and a load of anger built up. Seconds later the door creaked open and on the other side, smiling by the way, stood him. The man I knew nothing about.

“Ello.” I flicked the bar towards his face, but he was too fast and grabbed the bar where my hands were, twisted it, bringing it down over my chest. He pulled it up tight and squeezed my knuckles.

“I know your out there, Gerard Way.” I gasped and squirmed, trying to throw him off.

“What do you want with him?” I stopped squirming when I heard a third person’s breathing…and maybe a fourth.

“Take her.” Peter ordered as another man came out from behind the shadows and grabbed my hands behind my back, locking them with a pair of handcuffs.

“Gerard, just run!” I yelled, but was cut off short by the fourth mans inhumanly large forearm pushed up to my neck. A small, quirky noise came from my throat and I fell to the ground on my knees, gasping. Peter looked all around the small space, but came back with nothing.

“Alright, well, I wanted you, but figured, ‘hey why not try for two?’. Anyway, let’s leave.” Before he opened the door, Peter wrapped a blind fold over my eyes that covered almost all of my face. I took in a deep breath, trying to center myself while they dragged my body out the door and into a van, but instead of regular air, I breathed in something that smelled. It smelled good, but was it good? No, of course not. Before I had time to think, I was out cold.
