Chapter TwoA Chapter by AekmyGerard’s P.O.V Alright, Ava had to be on something. She didn’t recognize us at all or seem to see us really. I was glad that she made something of her life, but uh hello? Standing right here! I mentally waved my arms in the air in frustration. Frank looked at me weird. I shuffled my hands at him, making a face. “Um, do I know you?” I asked and she turned around. She looked kind of sad, like she did remember when she ditched me that night. “Because you look awfully familiar.” I gave her my best grin, but she didn’t say anything because the other guys walked in. It reminded me a lot of when I first met her. Frank sighed. Ava’s P.O.V Gerard looked at me hopefully, but looked towards the door when the other three walked in. I shoved my white rimmed sun glasses on my face, took off my hat hurriedly and shuffled to the camera. The other three shook my hands and went into make-up, but Gerard stayed behind. I knew he knew who I was so I set my glasses on top my head. “Hey.” He looked straight into my eyes and grinned. “Ello.” I couldn’t keep myself from smiling. “Where’ve you been?” his expression changed and he threw his arms out. “I’ve been a lot of places Gee.” I bent over to move a few wires, still keeping my eyes on him. “I went out into the world and got a degree in photography.” ‘God, I bet she’s married.’ Gee thought. “But no serious ties to anyone.” I winked at him and kept moving stuff for their pictures. “I never could figure out how you did that.” He leaned against a cement pole and watched me. “You never will.” I stated, stopped, and looked in his eyes. “Gerard, you have got to stop trying to figure out what I am and what I am not.” “I will once you tell me.” He kept on grinning like I was playing a game. I huffed a sigh and put my hands on my hips. “Why do you want to even know? Why does it matter to you? Aren’t you like married or something?” “A fan are you?” he stood straight too and leant closer. “Actually, no, I haven’t listened to an album since.” I didn’t finish, but turned around so that I was facing the opposite wall. I pinched the brim of my nose and held back the tears. “What? What’s wrong?” he turned me around. “I don’t know you anymore, do I?” he looked confused when I cocked my head at him. ‘What the hell does she mean? You do know me, Ava, you really do.’ “Gerard, you have to go into make-up. Go before they yell at you.” I walked a few feet from him and fired up my laptop. “They can yell all they want.” He pulled a stool up next to me and stared. I kept starting up programs and exiting out of pop-ups. “ “Way…” I snickered. “It’s funny how you became famous and I didn’t.” he just got up, shook his head, and proceeded away from me. ‘Good going smarty now he’ll never like you.’ My heart yelled. ‘How do you know?’ I replied. ‘Because I’m your heart, stupid. I know everything.’ ‘But I can read his mind. Ha.’ I cut off my ties with the beating thing in my chest and continued preparing the set. © 2009 Aekmy |
