Chapter Seven

A Chapter by Aekmy

“Where do you go next?” I asked, not getting up or looking around.

“Actually we’re staying here.” It would be so cool to have her over.’ He thought.

“Maybe my mum wouldn’t mind a little sleep over with a few friends.” I didn’t look up for Gerard’s reaction. I’m a wild girl I won’t deny it. I love to party and sometimes get drunk. I am twenty-one after all.

“You are so crazy.” Frank said, but it wasn’t to me, it was to Gerard. They thought I had dozed off again, which I probably had, but part of my mind decided to stay awake.

“We won’t do anything!” he whispered harshly, stroking my head protectively.

“You have too much power…” I heard frank grin in the darkness. He started the engine back up and backed up through the streets to his house. In my ears I heard the snow crunch under the wheels; the snow hit the wind shield softly, almost like little rats and everyone’s steady breathing. The rest was so much a blur I don’t remember a bit.

My mind was foggy so I just went along with whoever had picked me up out of the seat. It was so cold outside of the warm vehicle. I snuggled closer to the warm body. My whole body was burning from the contact, but I couldn’t go anywhere, I was useless to myself. It was snowing, I knew because it was all in my hair.

“I’m cold.” I whispered with a shiver. Gerard stroked my head and kept walking through the slippery mush. Inside was warm and Gerard just sat me up on the couch. I lay back, useless, while he unlaced my shoes and set them down on the floor. My fingers were limply sprawled across the couch, hair pulled up in a messy bun, tight skinny jeans getting looser with wear, ipod dangling from my pocket, headphones barely hanging on, and my really thick jacket I was wearing was suffocating me at the moment. I struggled to get out of it, but Gerard stopped me.

“They usually have to heat down real low. Keep it on.” He smiled sweetly and tried to take my hand, but I’ve had enough physical touching for one night, my blood was burning.

“I’ve got it.” He showed me to the den and a rather large futon I would be sleeping on. I sat down and he joined me. The way he looked at me made me think he knew something. Like he knew I could read his every thought. My head was getting so heavy I couldn’t keep it up so I let it fall back.

“You sure drain easily.” He pushed a lock of hair behind my ear, making it begin to tingle.

“Not usually.” I wasn’t lying, usually I had no contact with anyone and this didn’t happen. I was still studying the affects touching had on me. Frank, Ray, and Mikey came bustling through the door rather loudly; I almost jumped. Ray was chasing Frank and Mikey was just following behind. We watched them all fall to the ground, laughing. I grabbed the sleeping bags I saw from the corner and started laying them on top of the blow up air mattress on the floor. Pillows and other blankets soon were added to the pile. Apparently Gerard and I would be sharing the bed. I couldn’t believe it. Then again, I could, they would do this to me. Honestly I’d rather sleep with Frank then Gerard. He’s just so gosh darn gorgeous, but I’d have to deal with it. I opened my big mouth after all.

“So, are we being good or are we going to have some fun?” I asked and pulled off my jacket, pushing all the science type quirks out of my head.

“What do you mean?” Frank asked, coming through the door. He had comfy sweats and a big t-shirt on.

“C’mon you’re all what? Over twenty right? Ever had a drink then?” Frank gave Gerard one of those yeah-you-know-you’ve-had-one-before looks. I couldn’t help but smile.

“So are you saying you want a drink?” Gerard asked me. The look on his face was so Yankee.

“Only if you have ‘em.” I winked towards Gerard as he got up and walked to the mini fridge in the room.

“We only have beer.” He said more like a question, but I didn’t refuse it. He sat down and watched me pop it open. I took a swig and pulled off my headphones and then laid them on the in table next to the couch.

“You people are ridiculous. Do you do this all the time? Just sit here like little children who don’t know how to use a pool table.” I pointed limply to the pool table in the corner. Honestly, I thought if we were too loud it would fall to the ground.

“No, we use it. There’s just really no time, but we can if you want.” Frank cocked his head lightly and got up. I followed him, beer bottle in hand, and helped him pull off the tarp. The velvet was rich purple, old definitely. It looked like it hadn’t been used it years. I ran my fingers over it.

“Whose is it?” I looked back at Gerard’s and Ray’s sitting figure and waited; Mikey had started walking over. Mikey and Frank got the poles and balls from the corner and set up the board. I tromped back over to Gerard. Ray got up to help. He looked up at my standing figure. I wondered what he was thinking…his thoughts are way too perverted to even tell you. Trust me; I’m sparing your innocent minds.

“Let’s go.” He grinned and got up.
