Chapter Six

Chapter Six

A Chapter by Aekmy

I winked, “Toodles.” I waved my fingers and limped to the office. In my bag was a piece of paper with Gerard’s number on it. I smiled inside, but inside was the annoying noise of everyone talking. Ugh, I plugged in my headphones just before I entered the office.

“Yes?” The receptionist looked up.

“I need the nurse.” My accent surprised her and she was baffled a second before showing me how to get to the nurses office.

“Thanks.” I smiled and sat down. The nurse came in minutes later.

“I was just wondering if you could patch this up.” She left without a word to get her things and come back.

“Are you staying here?” she said through the door.

“What is it you mean?” she was dabbing at my knee.

“At school. Are you gonna go home?” she asked, obviously annoyed.

“Err, I need to call someone first.” She left me to call and didn’t come back. For privacy, I went in the bathroom. I couldn’t believe I had Gerard way’s phone number, it was out of this world. I don’t mean to sound like a fan girl or anything…

“Ello, love.”

“Ava?” Gerard panted.

“Nicely done cookie. Yes, it’s me.” I chuckled.

“Um…”

“Are you done picking up the set?” un-consciously I twirled my hair.

“Yeah, just about to leave.”

“Anyway you could drop me off at my place?” I bit my lip.

“Sure,” he perked up, ‘this is going to be awesome, a girl in the van! Yeah!’ he thought.

“Meet me out front.” I hung up and walked out into the office and then out the door. Sure enough there was the van I had seen pictures of on the net. It had graffiti all over, but I found myself loving it.

“Got your stuff?” I still couldn’t get over Gerard’s Jersey accent, it was so Yankee.

“Yeah. Van looks nice.” I commented and threw my black back pack and mini duffle in the back. Gerard looked at it and then laughed. I knew it was because of all the MCR merchandise on it but I didn’t care. ‘Little obsessive’ he thought. I couldn’t help myself.

“Oh, no I’m not obsessing at all.” I ignored his look and turned to frank.

“So, love, where am I sitting?” he seemed to giggle at the word.

“Oh come on now, move along with the flattery.” Everyone straightened up and looked around.

“You people are absurd.” I jogged around the front of the van and looked in. There were plenty of seats, but I could already hear the excuses of some being dirty. The van looked so child-ish, like they were still little kids who didn’t know how to pick up after themselves. Gerard suggested I sit in his lap in the passenger with a grin. Why not? I had to put a jacket between us so there was no physical contact. My mind just couldn’t even bear the thought of the physical pain that would bring. Gerard kept questioning in his mind why I didn’t like to be touched. Instead of actually sitting in his lap Gerard scooted back as far as he could and let me sit on what seat was left. In my mind the whole time I couldn’t help but think about the physical contact; I could feel his legs rubbing against the back off mine when he shifted, and not to mention a certain area… Once I left England and found my abilities there was no touching of any sort. Let’s just say I became a huge social outcast. My hand was lightly pressed against Gerard’s lower thigh. I could hear his heart beating faster.

“I bet you all had some kind of three-some on the other seats didn’t you?” I giggled and looked at Mikey and Ray’s surprised expressions while they sat in the back seat. Frank just shook his head in shame, grinning, like it was true, and kept driving.

“So you all have seriously never kissed a guy?” they didn’t say anything and didn’t lie, I decided to leave them to their peace filled minds.

“Have you kissed a chick before?” Mikey asked. The tone in his voice told me he didn’t think I had and was expecting a no.

“I was drunk, don’t mean jack.” I kept looking forward and let the grin slide across my face.

“Whoa!” Gerard yelled.

“I’m experienced is all.” I winked at Gerard and he grinned his breathless grin.

Instead of us going directly to my house we stopped off to eat somewhere I had never been. The roads were deathly slick with ice and sleet, slowly turning into snow. When we were done it was getting dark and the roads more treacherous. My mind was trying to tell me something that I didn’t want to hear; aside from the gang being huge celebrities, I had liked staying with them, their company made me feel different, but I couldn’t quite figure it out yet. Back in the van I was tired. Gerard seemed to notice and scooted back even farther.

“Thanks.” I whispered. For his feelings I decided to not use the jacket and lay on his chest. He was pretty comfy. The steady, slow breaths of his lungs soon lulled me half unconscious. Without thinking, he started stroking my hair. I was practically curled up in the front seat on top of him with my head on his chest. He smelt terrific. My feet were pressed up against the air bag since I was so long. Everything felt so right I didn’t even think about it. They stopped about a block from my house.
