Chapter FiveA Chapter by AekmySome girl in the crowd saw me and snuck up behind me to push me off the stage. I fell head first into the crowd and couldn’t feel a thing. The sensation was all over, the sound echoing through my brain. It was almost too loud to bear. People trampled my arms and legs. I think it was the same girl, but someone grabbed me up by the shirt collar and threw me out of the pit. At first I was so glad, but when her fist came down on my face I knew she was mad. I staggered to my feet, regaining my dignity, and threw my fist into her nose. If I knew anything, it was how to fight. “Do you have a problem brit girl? Think you can steal mikey way for yourself do you?” “Puppet you have brain damage, I was trying to save him.” She swung uselessly, like a drunk, and staggered past me. “All hale the brit that saved ‘Dang, she….whoa.’ honestly all of the fancy from Gee was flattering, but why did he have to seem so infatuated? “Hello. That was nice.” He nodded his head, but I kept walking. I tried to avoid his eyes. “Hey,” he clawed his fingers around my shoulder. Without seaming rude, I gently pulled them off, agony the whole time, keeping my eyes shifted from his, and stood quietly. “Beating the living snot out of someone isn’t highest on my list.” “What’d she say?” Gerard looked at me quizzically. “Brat’s got something against brits or something like that. Why do you care?” I waved my arms in frustration. “What?!” I walked slowly and he followed, still baffled. Unexpectedly, I stopped in front of him, he staggered gracefully into me. An inch between our chests and I couldn’t help but look into his hazel eyes. The hair in his face was greasy looking from sweat. It was covering half his eyebrows. “Shouldn’t you be signing autographs? Kissing fan girls and making everyone’s fantasy dream come true.” I cocked my head, put my hands on my hips, and winked. A strand of my own hair drifted in my sight, but my little amount of anger had faded. “That’s never really been my thing.” He retorted, playing along with my silly little game. “Then what’d you do it for?” “Are you really from “Of course.” “You don’t seem eighteen.” He pointed out. “I’m actually twenty-one. Failed a few grades in grade school.” I winked again. “That’s interesting.” “Because you’re twenty-six and you’re interested? Or because you failed a tad of your own?” he seemed to inch closer, but it hurt me, so I backed up. “Interested?” I stopped him there with a hand lightly pressed against his chest. “You have somewhere to be.” “Not really.” “You could fake sick.” He suggested. “Do I hear this from the infamous “I’m afraid so.” He grinned. “We’ll see how it goes.” I winked at him and fake-limped towards the teachers. “I fell in the pit and hurt my leg. Can I visit the nurse?” Gerard left me to pick up the stage. “Sure. Go ahead.” ‘Wait!’ Gerard yelled, in his head. I heard the pounding of his heart as he came closer. “You left your bag.” He panted. © 2009 Aekmy |
