Chapter Four

Chapter Four

A Chapter by Aekmy

“And that’s how you do that,” I snapped my fingers up and down. “Alright, loves, now that he’s out of the way we can start this up, right?” I nodded, letting the crowd cheer up.

“Thanks,” Gerard said, Jersey accent so thick I practically melted.

“My pleasure,” I grinned, leaving him speechless, before I bowed and stepped off the stage. The kid sitting next to me smiled widely when I sat down. The whole thing was like a huge concert that you didn’t have to pay for. I loved it. Gerard kept looking at me again and again. When we stood up to leave I watched Gerard talk to a teacher.

‘I hope they let me talk to her.’ He thought, while he waited for them to answer. At first they started to shake their head, but Frank came over and said something that convinced them to nod. Before they saw me I put in my headphones and pressed play on anything; I wanted to look casual, but I ended up pressing play on Demolition Lovers by the very man that was walking towards me; that was just a bit too much.

Here we go, frank thought, him just trying to get another girl. I can’t believe he likes an eighteen year old! I stopped nodding my head to the music and tried to process frank’s thoughts. He likes me? Probably just my body and my accent, nothing I haven’t gotten before.

“That was awesome back there with the principal,” Gerard said, laughing, his whole face looked lit up with excitement.

“Eh, I’ve had better,” I winked again and he smiled.

We shook hands. “I’m Ava,” We let go and I stuffed mine in my pocket. The tingling sensation in my hand was strong, like when your hand falls asleep and you shake it back awake. His face looked hurt.

‘My hands aren’t clammy are they? Why does she keep doing that?’

“I’m well Gerard Way, but you already know that. This is Frank and…” he looked back and I followed his gaze. Because I had been so focused on Gerard I couldn’t hear Mikey’s mental cries for help. Loads of girls had decided to attack him and the teachers weren’t doing anything to help. Those two ran head first into the crowd, but I took a less direct route. My feet carried my up the stage stairs in the back and onto the stage.

“Mikey!” I yelled. He looked around and saw me and yelled, “Help me!” and laughed. I knew this would hurt so badly and the pain had just started to ease down to a little tingle, but I reached out for Mikey’s hand anyway and he grabbed it.
