Chapter TwoA Chapter by AekmyUnknown P.O.V The rotten teenagers started running into the gymnasium. I stood behind the curtain, bewildered. Teenagers scare the s**t out of me. My eyes scanned the front row; none of the girls looked really nice so I would look in the back…well except one. Most of the kids were preps and jocks except this one girl. Her hair was jet black; her eyes were dark, almost black. The clothes she wore said a lot about her; black thermal, tight jeans, and high top converses, but the way her eyes looked, pained almost, like she was repressing something horrible. Her eyes looked empty actually, rings lay underneath. It looked like she hadn’t had sleep in weeks. I smiled at her appearance, but frowned in confusion. She reminded me a lot of myself in high school, though I don’t know her personality yet. Maybe I would, probably wouldn’t. I mentally hit myself; the girls probably eighteen. Ava’s P.O.V Out from behind the curtain a blurry head was peaking, but since it was still so loud I couldn’t see straight. Though I swear I could feel someone staring at me. I shifted uneasily in my chair and turned up my music, waiting for the band to start. The principal stood on stage and waited for us to be quiet. Of course that lasted a few minutes. He waved the band out, causing kids to start screaming. I watched the preps beside me; they were pretty bored looking. The Goth lookin kid beside me jumped up and yelled, so that meant it was probably a punk-ish band. “Shh. No talking,” He paused. “Miss, in the front row,” Everyone in the front row looked up. “I’m going to need your headphones,” I rolled my eyes and crossed my legs. “Uh, no your not,” I said. My British accent flowed through the room and people just stared. I’d been there forever, why were they just figuring that out? I turned off my music and pushed the remaining of other people’s thoughts out of my head so I could see clearly. When I opened my eyes, I gasped in my head. My favorite band was on stage. Trying not to let my emotion seep through so I could continue arguing, was hard. Even he seemed puzzled. I watched Gerard, the lead singer, watch me, along with Frank, the guitarist, and mike, the bassist. There was that feeling again, like someone was staring into my soul. “Come on, there’s no reason for all of this. Let us start. Don’t be like this.” “Have you read my file? If not you might want to educate yourself, love,” Honestly I called everyone that right away. “I want your ipod. Bring it up here, now,” He stomped his foot, pointing to the floor. “I’m afraid your words don’t mean jack," I cocked my head. “Come up here now. We’re going to talk,” His face reddened and I let the grin I was so desperately trying to hold back spread across my face as I got up, stuffing my ipod in a secret pocket in my jeans. He didn’t see it. Gerard and Frank tried not to laugh on stage. I let my boundaries widen. ‘This is too good and a British accent! Beautiful, too good’ Gerard thought. ‘Amazing,” frank thought, laughing. Frank nudged Gerard’s shoulder, giving him a wink. In the crowd, girl’s whistled and guys laughed. Instead of using the stairs, I threw my foot on stage and pulled myself up. © 2009 Aekmy |
