Following My HeartA Poem by Aekmy
7:35 p.m. Sometimes the world comes crashing down on me and drowning my brain seems like a good thing. Physical heat emanates from this plate. I am out of my comfort zone. The strange music, strange sounds, and strange smells. 8:20 p.m. Dazed, confused. Staring off into space, only hearing blurred sounds in the distance and then I kiss your ear. The sky transitions from blue, to green, to an orange hue that licks the building tops. 10:56 p.m. Concealed by the darkness are our huffy whispers of hushed kisses. You, the mocking bird, hum a song I’ve never heard and just like when the orphan baby stopped, I’m longing to hear more. Almost wanting to tear you apart just to hear that sonnet again. Please play the music for me, Oh music box Do not fail me now. Maybe, just maybe if I scream loud enough your heart will explode, the music, that contains the music, the music I need. 12:01 a.m. Swimming in confusion. Plucking flower petals, he love me, he loves me not, he loathes me, he loathes me not . . . An answer I will never find To the question I don’t Even know.
