Cannibals

Cannibals

A Poem by dining alone

bearing heavy gifts
plentiful in the ribs
greatful for the clueless
may the clever be struck
and peeled by an apparition
by the name of what we call it

it's translation
the right medium
a blessed pyre
we displace the stranger
within each other
they're always rare

intolerance
the skin of the wilderness
to be encased in glass
the entirety of an eye
vision f***s knowledge
jaws morph traveler
said jaws are ours
spoiled by our species
cravings torment
while aware of our bodies

poet eats his muse
warms his blood
with admirers alike

i see it in you
and it looks mighty tasty
