Syphilis

Syphilis

A Poem by dining alone

I want to keep you warm but I am Alaska.

My words are coffee with twice the ice.
My hands shake like frightened mice.

There's an injury on your brain,
Sweeter than sugar cane.

You've loved too much and that's just not enough.
The spirochetes has been talking lately.
You think that the doctor would bluff
but your nerves aren't so healthy

We can go to the ocean, I'll be Maine
Where your terminal illness begins to explain

You're going to die happy
Dirty as the Mississippi

Haha great imagery and style. So much more interesting than the typical "My heart is like a deep dark abyss" that usually gets posted here.
