In lovers' eyes

Poem written after discovering he's the one

Sea kissed our skin
Whilst bodies intertwined
Stars lit up
Your face reflected by heart

Unconscious of world around
Lovers anchored
Their former broken halves
Of heart now as one

Laughter and playfulness
Worries swept away
Gleaming sky as witness
Thoughts engraved

Noticed by all
Neglected by none
Not even the unknown
Can deny the seen

Sitting across
Drowning in eyes
Words unneeded
Guitar gently weeps

Bodies close
Softly moving
Led by rhythm
Of the lovers' heart

Blue skies and horizon
Miles away
Yet closer still
Awaiting reunion

Confirmation of reality
This time inevitable
For yet to realize
Eternity exists
