Wave Goodbye

Wave Goodbye

A Poem by Ady Dost

Wave goodbye.

You walk away,

Board the plane,

And fly off.

Just another piece

Of my heart,

Leaving for

Somewhere else

In the world.

As tears threaten

To soak my face,

I try to

Remind myself

That you’ll be

Happier.

But that doesn’t help

Like they say

It will.

It just reminds me

That you’re

Completely fine

Without me.

You don’t need me

Like I need you.

That's a break-up poem right there! Very well constructed!

~You've described the heartache that pulls one's inside apart. The internal scream hides between the lines of this well done poem.~

Very deep and emotional. I felt the sadness portrayed in the poem. Sometimes it's hard to convey feelings through words, but you have done an excellent job of it. Very well done.
