Lies kept quiet

Lies kept quiet

A Poem by Adrianna
"

Another poem from THE BOOK OF HATE

"

The tears drip down, seeping out of my eyes

They won't stop, they won't shut off, it's because of the lies

The lies being spoken and the lies being heard

The tales the lead-ons the humiliations

No truth behind these words

But there all locked in whispers that get passed around

Each little one stabs me, pushing me harder into the ground

I walk into to face them

As strong as i'll ever be

But everyone stops and puts on a fake smile

No one's gonna show me what I came here to see

They'd rather pretend they haven't a clue

I no longer know what i can do

So what do i do?

Cut off my ears.

Idle gossip is everywhere, almost no one
thinks less of you because of it.

Remember what counts, what you think of
yourself----that is what counts.

People who have little respect for themselves
often gossip about others and try to bring them
down to their level.

Get new friends. It does`nt sound like the old
aquaintances were friends at all. If things were
said that hurt you, they were not friends.

Your poem is nicely constructed. A nice command
of the language.
