Green

Green

A Poem by Adrian Smith
"

Just sitting down thinking of anything that can come to my head.

"

Green over hills and mountains,
up and down, up and down,
the very rough and rocky roads.

Deer and antelope, ferns and lions,
lope across the lands of green,
here and there, here and there,
and everywhere over the jungles and fields.

Trees and plants, and bees and bugs,
hover across the jungles and forest,
flapping and swaying, flapping and swaying,
all over the lands of green.

People and things, places and sea's,
walk across the grounds of life,
running, jogging, skipping,
across the feilds of Green.

What a sweet poem! This piece created great imagery in my head, and I liked the way you chose such evocative vocabulary. The third stanza was my favourite in the whole poem. I also liked the way you ended the poem with the line 'across the feilds of Green.' I felt like this really tied the whole piece up nicely.
A very creative write, and a sweet escape for the reader too. Well done,
