Stolen

Stolen

A Poem by Adriann Piers
"

I wrote this about my long time friend who I grew up with when I was dealing with his dying in 2011, I wrote this to let out how I felt about it and so I could remember everything that had happened.

"
I received a call at five
Asking if you were alive
I new not a thing
All I had was hope, that you would answer
Ring, Ring Ring
I left angry voice mails
'Stop this come out!
People are making awful tales'
I looked on Facebook
You were online
I messaged and I messaged
Rage Rage Rage!
No answers no replies
I needed you to break the lies
7 o'clock I received another call
Asking if I heard the news at all
I lied and answering no not a thing
Hoping this call was to do with a different something
But it was not my luck
We convinced each other for hours it was a joke
The hours passed and the conversation no longer spoke
Ten o'clock I new it was true
I had lost something special
Something, you!
Burst out crying
Couldn't handle my beautiful friend dying
4 months have passed
I still feel the same
Not knowing who to blame
You were stolen at just nineteen
This still makes me angry and still makes me scream
You dont know what you have until its gone

Adriann Piers
When I wrote this I was just trying to write down what happened and how it made me feel, and every time that I read it it takes me back to that day and those feelings and makes it so I can never forget lewis.

This poem makes me angry which seems be exactly how I should feel about this. You found a way to make the rhymes flow very well with the poem. The words don't seem to be stretched at all. I hope writing helps get it out.
