For Just a Second

For Just a Second

A Poem by Adriana Saso
"

Just a poem I came up with when I was bored, but I hope you guys enjoy it :3

"
My heart to have it's way with my tongue and whisper in your ear,
If I had eyes like hers,
Would you feel a sense of homeliness- if only for a moment in time- in the idea of getting lost in them?
If for just a second,
My heart could lift you off the cold floor,
Would you intertwine your fingers so frail into my own?
If your ears could hear what I desire them to,
Would you let me serenade you?
If you come nearer,
If you offer a colder touch- just for once;
You could trace the scars on these wrists,
Feel the love on these lips.
If for once you would see me,
Really see me; the way you do,
Then maybe my hear would mend for you,
Call to you,
Write a poem or two?
All the words you want to hear.
Draw you close,
For maybe this night, amidst the starry daze,
You could stay,
and I could get some sleep tonight in this sadistic peace of mind with you by my side.
