Two Souls

Two Souls

A Poem by Damayanti Bhattacharjee
"

"Two Souls" is a poem about love, heartbreak and heartache.'She' had blindly trusted someone she hardly knew and thus had broken her trust. To this day she blames herself for him leaving her.

"
Once there used to be a girl,
Who thought falling in love was easy.
She had jet black hair and charcoal black eyes,
She wanted someone to look into them and say,
"You are mine."
Very few knew about her existence,
Very few cared,
But then again nothing mattered to her,
If she had that special someone with her,
By her side.
Once there used to be a boy,
Who thought falling in love was easy.
He had short blonde hair and baby blue eyes,
He was know as the "The Irish Guy".
Everyone knew who he was,
Everyone knew he had a voice of gold.
However he wanted someone to say that to him,and more.
And one day,the forces decided,
To let them know,
He was there,for her
She was there,for him
They hit it off so good that the forces thought,
"It is a sin".
They loved each other, they were beside each other
However many rumors there were,
They gave a darn to none.
But one day,a dark cloud came,
And changed everything,
He left her,knowing nothing.
He came back again.
But he was more demanding
He wanted things she couldn't give him.
And the one day,
He ended it all,
Saying,"I am already gone".
Two souls,now the broken ones,
The string holding them together was cut,
They were holding nothing.
He left her,she cried
And they were,
The two broken who fell in love and died.
It happened in heaven,it remained in heaven,
And none could ever tell,
Their love story,
As it was match made in heaven.
