coincidence?

coincidence?

A Poem by adisaurajsen

On and on and on it went,
statements meandered through my mind.
A giggle here, a chatter there.
I don't know how I dined!

A splash of  water is what I needed
To erode my dazed hangover
But boy was I excited
I just found a four leaf clover!

Maybe it was the Irish brew
My luck new no bounds!
dazzling there was Maya herself
snapping at her peers like shotgun rounds!

Whatever it was I am glad it came
I longed for a conversation
but how could I know that girls had formed
their  own world's united nations?

The chance did come sir, in the end
With the blessing of  a cake delicious
But nothing compared to the chat we had.
even though a bit stereotypical and superstitious.

But a chained animal I was then.
A beast..well a fish trapped in an aquarium.
But a phone-call from Namrata changed all that
unshackled i sat down beside her. looking a bit glum.

I guess my silence said it all.

But a few questions changed all that.
situations strikingly similar
Was it a coincidence?
Or did her words sound familiar?

How i ranted day and night for you
about you and how!?
your gleaming eyes reminded me of the blue sea.
Your insight made me bow.

When i finally bid goodbye to you,
I ended with a stutter
god know what i said then and there
A courteous gesture I tried to mutter.

Then I left..in the cold dark night
reached home and wrote a few lines..
Aah reality..it is nice to be back
I can ignore all those glaring signs.

I felt my time was precious ,you know?
but that is not true anymore
the only time i spend with you matters
the rest is a blur and a bore.

How wrong I was about your character.
I had forgotten who you are.
you are my love. my soul , my dove
"hey do you want to hop in the car?"

What?..

I really like how this was written. A tad confusing at parts but I'd get back on track. I really really like "A beast..well a fish trapped in an aquarium" .
