Death and DyingA Poem by aditya gawadeGiving in to death
He lay still in a dark room
Surrounded by the air of gloom He looked up to see the bright full moon While he felt it in his bones that something would end soon His body felt cold But his heart still seemed bold He looked up sadly at the beautiful sky Lamenting that he could no longer fly He had been struck to the chest with a massive blow And his heart was starting to beat slow He felt the blood drip He felt his sanity slip He could feel the world around him shaking Crude and ragged became his breathing He had been hurt by a destroyer's tool His blood dripping around him created a pool His eyes began to close Dark blood began to flow from his nose He saw a figure approaching With its purple viel floating He laid his cold hand on him And calmly beckoned to him Your purpose here is over he said Its time for you to rest he said Calmly the warrior let out his breath And peacefully approached his death His body grew as colder as a frost And forever he was lost, lost and lost © 2014 aditya gawadeAuthor's Note
