Monsoon

Monsoon

A Poem by Aditi Shankar
"

Rain in Monsoon

"

It starts with a bit of wind and drizzle
which makes the trees rustle

It starts with the pitter patters
which even cools down the baby sitters

It is the shower of crystals
and just sounds like pistols

It is a heavenly gift
given by the gods who sit in swift

Rain drops
famous and chasing the plants like cops

I feel sad for the orphaned rain drops
who go through a long journey leaving their moms and pops

Such a beautiful sight
but now the rain drops are finite

I feel like playing in the rain
along the long lane

Aditi you are very good in making little sense of the things. I admire your this quality even you are studying in 6th grade and you explain the poem well with all the innocent words. You have just wrote about the body very well. it's just start of your journey of soul. I hope you would wrote this poem again with same innocent words but that time it would be from your heart connected through your soul
