As the Sun

As the Sun

A Poem by Addison

love me as the sun loves the flower;
there are no benefits for the sun-
no gain of nourishments or life,
just witnessing the beauty and growth
is enough for the sun-
who loves the flower.

I love how you present the subject and feeling in your poem within such a short poem. I like how the simile describes the love the sun has for flowers and that witnessing the beauty of the sun is enough for You.
