taking the risk

when i think of love

i cringe my nose and laugh

because it all seems ridiculous to me

and i think of all the cons before the pros

how everything is going to end sooner or later

and all that crappy stuff that people complain about

but when i think about you

everything bad about love

seems to melt away 

and maybe

just maybe

it all might be worth it

if i get to be in your arms at night 

and fall asleep on your shoulder 

and just listen to every breath you take

thinking about laughing with you

and going on adventures

makes me think that maybe 

things won't turn out too bad

and hopefully

we can make it through the rough

as long as you are still by my side
