Build me a bridge
to where you are
Whether the distance
is near or far

Build me a bridge
that won't let me fall
One I can cross
while standing tall

Build me a bridge
with no tolls to pay
I want to reach you
on my poorest day

Build me a bridge
that's sure and strong
To hold me upright
when things go wrong

Build me a bridge
that will forever last
That takes me away
from the regret of my past

Build me a bridge
that rises above
Show me the way
to regain your love

Build me a bridge
to span my river of tears
My gorge of self destruction
the chasm of my fears

Build me a bridge
that carries me through
On days I can't cope
on days I need you

and I will do my part

that leads to my heart...
