Divorce Vows

Divorce Vows

A Poem by Austin Davis

Surely as misery convoluted ran
Speeding towards light made of red
Knives' sharpest metal
Cutting through our wooded undevoted
Bled faith, in chase, ahead and unaltered
Harmonious marriage
When today wedded tomorrow
Hasteful and immaculate
Our burnt past, our split future
Desire formed love long ago
Now charred and forgotten
Scorched fire also had consciousness
Conscious of its divorce from sulfur
As I am of the falling trees in death's dreams
You were life, and together, we were never ending

This is so powerful, and profound! It is well written, well expressed, and heartfelt.

Hmm,
this is a good, honest piece of work.
The title is what drew me to it, my parents arei n the middle of a divorce right now,
so your great use of words, and ideas, pretty much summed up their divorce.
Good Write.
