From Ruin to Cobblestone

From Ruin to Cobblestone

A Poem by Austin Davis

In blinding vision of clearest rendition,
the fleeting presence of sanity I feed,
in soliloquy, is the weariness I’ve grown,
following the patriarch from ruin to cobblestone.
Paradise I now realize is arduous, it's fruitless and lackluster
When lust gives way to torture, her disinterest is the whip,
And my self-inflicted, humiliated, makes me the sadomasochist
