Rain Cycle

Rain Cycle

A Poem by Ditziie Carol
"

A short free-verse poem about rain, which is basically my favorite thing in the world, being all metaphoric and s**t, so yeah..enjoy :) or not. Please let me know what you think either way.

"
I watch the raindrops fall outside the window, leaving their home in the clouds in a happy sky, take the terrifying plunge down to a cold and uncaring world, and it makes me happy to know, I'm not the only one falling.

Later, I see the pale yellow rays of sunlight
struggling to break through the heavy clouds,
and then finally, they succeed,
and suck the rain back up to the sky where it started,
just like life, it's a never ending cycle,
and sometimes I just don't see the point.

But still, I don't wanna give up
when I see those cloudy gray skies,
cause I know it's a perfect reminder
that falling down doesn't signal the end,
and when you're not looking, the light comes out,
it'll lift us all up once again.

I liked it. Simple, but hit the nail right on the head. Very relatable.
