Cotton wool concave.

Cotton wool concave.

A Poem by Adam Parker

Cotton wool concave is where I
laid my head.
Sharp homeliness is the shoes I wear
on feet,
but these feet fear distant places
that blister and form calyx upon toes-
across cities and dimensions that fall
heavily upon my person.

My centre of gravity is firmly upon Leeds,
skewing back to Preston on occasion,
however this vinculo needs
to be severed,
as I am climber on cliff face;
like Jon Snow and Ygritte climbing the wall,
preoccupied by the fall,
but wishing to be home.
